UG STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS
- Shagun Kar was honoured with the opportunity to express her thoughts and her climate story at the UN YOUTH CLIMATE DIALOGUE held on 20th November, 2020. The Youth Climate dialogue is a global platform where 15 young minds from all over the world get to exchange their climate stories which helps the United Nations to get a peek into the thought process of the youth who are not just the future, but the Now of this planet. Ms. Sagun kar was one of the two participants from india and 13 others from various parts of the world aged between 18 to 25. It was a great learning experience for her.

Mr. Dutikeshwar Ballav Das, third year student of B.Sc. (Hons.) in Sustainable Development, his capstone topic 'SAVING THE LAST ‘SMILING DOPHINS’ was accepted for oral presentation on International Conference-RAMBAC held at Alagappa University Convocation Seminar Hall on 12th & 13th December 2019.
He participated for the same and won the "Best Oral Presentation" award in the international conference at Recent Advances in Marine Biodiversity and Conservation (RAMBAC) - 2019 hosted by School of Marine Sciences, Department of Oceanography and Coastal Area Studies, ALAGAPPA UNIVERSITY - Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu.

Ayushi Dwivedi,first year student of B.Sc. (Hons.) in Sustainable Development has completed the training at San Diego State University(SDSU) in San Diego, California, USA. This two weeks (28th May to 15th June 2019) training was supervised by Dr. Zohir Chowdhury's supervision and guidance, Associate Professor School of Public Health, SDSU.
The training programme included topics on understanding California State's Climate Action plan (CAP), the city of San Diego's Climate Action Plan, and SDSU campus' Sustainability Practices and campus' Climate Action Plan.
In addition, training on air pollution instrumentation, measurements and data analysis was imparted. The academic portion was integrated with field visits to several local and regional points of interest spanning the states of California, Nevada and Arizona with the objectives of focusing on understanding and observing sustainability practices in the field. The programme culminated with a presentation of her experience and learning.
- Sheetal Samantaray and Mr Dutikeshwar Ballav (BSc SD Batch 2017-20) have been awarded the certificate of excellence from CRY (Child Rights and You) during their summer internship
- Mr Arkajit Patra & Mr Nischit Kumar Nayak (BSc SD Batch 2016-19) received a special acknowledgement from Asha Kiran Society conducting a market survey, profile creation in Linkedin and proposal writing during their summer internship
- Ms. Maria and Ms. Simron Parida interning at Nepal on 'Right to bleed' mentored by Tribhuvan University and School of Sustainability. The SIP is being facilitated by AIESEC
