The School of Sustainability, XIM University, India, organized an international experiential learning webinar on “SDG Index” on August 21, 2026, facilitated by Dr. Elizabeth Abba, Associate Professor, School of Sustainability.
Samory Toure, Economist, UN Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN), Paris, delivered an insightful and academically enriching session on the measurement and assessment of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) performance. The session examined the role of indicators, data coverage, normalization, dashboards, and methodological approaches in enabling robust and globally comparable SDG assessments.
Students gained valuable insights into the Sustainable Development Report 2026, including India’s ranking of 94th among 169 countries with an SDG score of 68.3. The discussion also examined global development disparities, sustainable agriculture, governance, press freedom, health, and infrastructure.
The webinar was attended by 62 MBA Sustainability Management students, providing them with an opportunity to engage with an international expert and strengthen their understanding of evidence-based approaches to sustainable development.
