Sustainability Discovery Program enables the students to explore and experience various sustainability programs and activities implemented by corporates, governments, NGOs at community level to promote sustainable development in India.
Every year the School of Sustainability conducts Sustainability Discovery Programme (SDP) as a part of its MBA SM curriculum. SDP is a 3-credit course uniquely designed where the students are usually sent to different locations all over India to have a first-hand experience of how sustainability is executed at the very ground level, where the sustainability frontiers lie.
However, due to the present Covid-19 situation, the students of MBA-Sustainability Management Batch 2020-22 got the opportunity to complete their learning and living experience with community for 15 days in the state of Odisha at six different locations on topics like Multi-Lingual Education Impact Assessment at Koraput, Baseline survey analysis to know the current status of farmers of Khariar for the formation of FPOs in Nuapada, Resource Mapping of a village at Semliguda, Maize Cultivation and stakeholder analysis of watershed management projects in Nuagada, Wetland Rejuvenation and Eco-Tourism at Ansupa Lake and Agriculture Production Cluster at Thakurmunda, Mayurbhanj.
