School of Sustainability, XIM University Signs MoU with CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (IMMT), Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt.of India
On the occasion of the Curtain Raiser Event for the India International Science Festival (IISF), 2024, the School of Sustainability, XIM University, formalized a partnership with CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (IMMT) by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). CSIR-Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (IMMT) is one of the oldest and most eminent research institutes in the eastern part of India under the aegis of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. The MoU is exchanged in the presence of Dr. Ramanuj Narayan (Director, CSIR-IMMT), Dr. Shreepad Karmalkar (Director, IIT Bhubaneswar), Sri Praveen Ramadas (National Joint Organizing Secretary, Vigyan Bharti- Vibha), Dr. Bikash Kumar Jena (Senior Principal Scientist, CSIR-IMMT), Dr. T Pavan Kumar (Senior Scientist, CSIR-IMMT), Dr. Sutapa Pati (Professor and Dean, School of Sustainability, XIM University) and Dr. Aradhana Basu (Assistant Professor, School of Sustainability, XIM University).
This collaboration is a step forward in our mission to advance sustainability through cutting-edge research and innovative solutions. Together, we aim to create a transformative impact in the fields of environment, technology, and sustainable development.
As part of this MoU, our joint initiatives include:
- Developing joint proposals in basic and applied research for external sponsorship.
- Publishing joint research findings in reputable journals and conferences.
- Jointly filing patents, protecting intellectual property rights, and enabling technology transfer and commercialization.
- Establishing innovation modules and promoting societal relevance in technology development.
